Default Anybody brought the front...

tire off the ground going into second gear on an 883 sporty? How about a chirp out of the back tire going to second?

Did both this summer coming pretty hard up through the gears. Really surprised me, didn't think an 883 would do it.

funny story actually, hauling *** with my fiancee on the back, snapped into second and brought that front end up about 45 degrees, scared the shyte outta me. i let off the gas, front comes down and i had this weird ringing in my ears, and dull repetitive pain in the back of my head. thats when i realized my old lady was screaming like a trucker at me and i was getting beat with an ipod lol

i'm a bigger guy so i can't lift the tire when i'm on it by myself, i chirp second all the time on my 883L tho.

Bigger guy or not, I am willing to bet that 883 will bring that tire off the ground. Just gotta know how to do it. I would not suggest it though, thinks happen that you never expect. I used to do wheelies down main street all of the time in my younger days. One day the throttle got stuck and they pulled me out from under a ford Torino.

Traitor! Just kidding. How are you enjoying the upgrade?

I've accidentally pulled it up in first upon take-off, but I'm a bit heavy and I fear I will break the seals on the forks on the way down if I do it too much.

My experiences have all been riding alone. Was really surprised the bike would do it but didn't bother me a bit. It really is pretty cool.
