I came to a sportster from a suzuki bandit and a kawasaki vn900, the bandit has better brakes than a sportster and the vn900 has a more flexible engine. Now they have both been sold and would I go back to them from the sportster, NO

 

Had Hondas(175,185,250,400,500),Kwacks(250,550,650,750 ),Suzukis(175,250,380,425,800),Yams(500,900)+Bmw,B SA,AJS,Norton,CZ,Bennelli,Ducati(mostly old nails to be honest).Bought 1200 custom 4 years ago,not regretted it once.One of 3 maybe 4 bikes I've owned every time I take it out I come back with a BIG grin on me face.Every one should own one at least once

 

Hondas, Suzukis, Triumphs, Yamahas, even a Norton, nothing beats the sound and feel of a HD. Like the threads say, they just have "soul", not just another ride but a way of life. Not to mention the folks you meet, talk about Americana at its best.

 

I went from a Honda Nighthawk 750 to my first Harley, an '04 1200 Roadster. Night and day for me. Never looked back...
