Thanks for the kind words folks.

Yes, I sprayed a very small amount of Pledge on the cloth and lightly wiped down the seat. After a minute or two I didn't notice the seat was any slicker than before. I wouldn't go crazy with the Pledge on the seat though.

So what about when your bike is dusty and dirty? Do you spray it down first? I would not want to rub a bunch of filth across the paint. My bike is so dirty right now.

Also, does the pledge remove wax or any other protectant materials (like Dawn dish soap does)?

As far as dirt goes, you gotta use common sense. You don't drag sandpaper across your bike. If it's dirty, wash it first. Dust, smudges or a little road grime just keep turning the rag to a clean side. I believe the Pledge actually leaves a coat of wax behind, not removing it.
