Where might I find either or both of these documents? I have searched high and low on the web but cannot seem to locate them.

Once you get the part number for the Official HD Service Manual, it was listed in the first search result, you can refine the search even better.

I hate to sound like a skin-flint (which I am) but I really did not want to pay for the manual(s).

Look around - sometimes places have sales or even sell at a discount all the time. Might even check the library - someone here did that a few days ago and found one.

I bought the service manual, parts catalog and electrical diagnostic manual - money well spent and a good investment.
