Man that sounds like a great price! My dealer quoted me 2800 on the road. No cams, just stage 1, but I need a tuner, so a seprt was in the quote. Not sure if that makes the price more comparable. Not to me, the seprt is around 450. Seems to me like your still doing better on cost. Is the dealer gonna credit you for the stage 1 ac since you already have a heavy breather. Also, I'm still not sure why I need the seprt with the stage 1 conversion kit? I guess if I get it though I'll always have it... Questions, been pondering these since the day I got used to my bike and threw the ole lady on the back. Have to say though I love these irons. Nothing looks better IMHO.

I do not have exact numbers, but guesstimate is 95 BHP with NRHS and around 70 BHP with SE.

Hehee. I knew this is necromancy, but somebody woke it up and the only interesting question in this whole thread was still unanswered.

That 95 HP is Stage III with head work and cams. The potential is 100+ with a Stage IV. You're looking at real money though.

The NRHS Stage II should net you 75-80 HP with cams.

Your chart is with 883 heads.
Stage 2 with 1200 heads and 1250 kit.
Unfortunately there seems to be no comparable SE charts, the ones you stumble across on the internet are from HD dealerships and not trustworthy. But as I said with everything top line SE it should be around 70 on an independent dyno.

That's the NRHS charts that the company took themselves. Dan, himself, told me that the basic 1250 kit with the 883 heads and no cams will pull around 70 HP. That's in the same ballpark as a basic HD 1200 kit without cams. Both done with a tuning kit.

The above chart is with cams and performance ignition included. Each one in succession are the different stages of head work. Dan has also explained that with his head work it would outperform the stock 1200 head. Which makes sense since one of the main differences between the stock 883 head and stock 1200 head are the size of the ports and valves. Reworking the stock 883 or stock 1200 heads should give similar results.

Not correct. 883 heads won't survive same porting as 2004 and later 1200 heads.

Stage 2 883 heads make about the same power as stage 1 1200 heads in my testing.
Thanks for clearing that up. Now I know for future reference.
