I have a battery tender I bought for an old (metric) bike years ago. I want to connect to my 2010 Iron for the winter. It has a 6 and 12 volt settings. Which one do I want to use for my HD? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks - MAC

 

First, are you sure it's a Battery Tender (float charger) and not a trickle charger? You don't want to use anything other than a float charger.

Virtually everything today is 12V, including your bike.

 

Sounds like a standard battery charger to me. If so, don't use it.

 

Sounds like my "Battery Tender", as it has a 6V and 12V switch too. Mine is not a battery charger. Use the 12V.
