new super low tomorrow

Tomorrow is a big day in our house, the super low is being signed for. Has anyone put forward controls on the superlow. I have concerns on clearance in turns and how they will be if you have a short inseam.

I say go for it and if it doesn't work out then sell them.

Sit on a Fat Bob or any Dyna with forward controls, and figure the Sportster forward controls are about 2 inches closer.

Clearance in turns? LOL! What? :icon_laugh:

I think you will be into the exhaust and side stand well before forward controls.

On my bike, that's what scrapes and well before any pegs.
The super low has lowered pegs, but I think you will be into the other stuff first.

Very gentle in the turns is how you ride the super low, or any low for that matter.

just ride the thing for about 100 miles with mids on there, then make a decission after getting used to the bike, you might not want them after a 100miles on the od

Almost right. Add a zero or two to that figure. With the lowered pegs on the SuperLow, there is ample legroom without the need for forwards, and you still get the benefits of mids (better control, better weight distribution, greater shock absorption, etc.). The SuperLow has a lean angle of only 24 degrees, so it doesn't matter what pegs you have on there, you'll drag something. Take the stupid feelers off the pegs if you don't want to drag them, just realize that you will then drag hard parts first. My wife has a SuperLow, and adores it. Other than the lean angle, it's a really nice bike.
