Default Did a 1600 mile road trip this week

I just got back from a 1600 mile road trip on my Sporty! Man it was kick ***! I road with another buddy on his 06 XL1200C and a friend on his Suzuki Hayabusa. I really thought that the guy on the Busa was going to suffer riding a crotch rocket that far but he hung in there pretty damn good! We left last week and headed up the 395 to Bishop. We spent the night there and I took a girl friend up to Mammoth for dinner. That was an awesome ride! We ended up in her hot tub (but that's another story). The next day we road up to Reno for the air races. On Friday I road up to Virginia City. I always wanted to ride a Harley there someday! The next two days we went to the air races. On Monday we road all the way to Las Vegas (450 miles)! We were hurtin! The next day me and my friend with the Sportster road to Laughlin and got our hotel rooms, cleaned up a bit then jumped back on our bikes and road to Oatman, AZ. What a cool town. Then we headed back to Laughlin and had a good dinner. The last day we road to lake Havasu, NV and hung out for awhile, then road to Twentynine Palms and stopped for lunch. Then I road nonstop home to Seal Beach, CA. It was a 400 mile day and a real ball buster! I figured out on this trip that 300 miles a day is pretty much the limit. After that it gets to be quite painful! Oh yeah, and I'm still using my stock seat and no windshield! And I ain't no spring chicken either! I'm 49.

That's me in the middle

Welcome back home, safe and sound! AWESOME trip man. 1,600 miles on a Sporty, getting into IRON butt category. I did around 1,200 miles back in July...my butt hasn't forgiven me yet.

Haha! Yeah, I think my butt has turned into iron! I've put 8000 miles on my bike since I bought it in May. HD didn't know what they got themselves into when they gave me a 2 year UNLIMITED MILES warranty! Ha!

I'm with ya man, not quite as much, but bought mine in April, and clicked over 8,000 a few days ago.
