New 48 owner
Hi all,
Been lurking on here for a while but finally decided to contribute (joined on here when i bought the Wide Glide).
Brief bike history: 883C as first bike 2 years ago,then a jap bike,then an italian,then a 2010 Wide Glide,then 2010 XR1200X,now just traded the XR for a new 48.
Only ridden the 48 home from the dealers but i already love it. Mods so far are just V&H Straightshot slip-ons,a side mount plate (we don't get them as standard here in the UK) and a few other little bits.
I am looking to change the bars but am refusing to pay the £650 quoted by my dealer for the HD mini-apes and the black diamond cables so i am now looking to put on small Z bars or 10" apes (so i don't have to change any cables).
Any pics of the above bars would be very welcome.
Even though my bike is nowhere near as modified as some of the bikes on here i will try and post some pics tomorrow.

Thanks cpracing, your bike looks great. My mind is 90% made up that i will be putting 10" bars of some sort on it so it's good that i will only need to change the brake line (my dealer was trying to tell me that i need to change all of the cables, hence the high price).
HOTLAP,i'm young and tend to change my mind fairly often.I have no house/major bills to pay so i am making the most of spending all of my available wages on whatever i want...for example:

Yep, I was told that I need to buy all new cables that were $300. All I did was cut a couple of the zip tyes and found some extra wiggle room. Magnum makes a universal "build your own" kit for the brake cable. Its braided and is real easy to make. It was only $50.
My bike isnt done yet as you can see(no exhaust). Getting my new pipes in a few days!

Congrats on the new ride! Lot's you can do with it.
Good info from cpracing.
If you ever decide to go taller...I put some 16" apes on my sporty...had to buy a brake line, the wiring extensions was a kit from JP, I think it was around $30, took about an hour of my time. Pretty easy.
