Not sure about stock, but my street FXR (highly modified) should do well aqainst any street Vrod, sporty or any other street HD model. No slick, wheelie bar, nitrous, or boost. I built it to be light and powerful and it has done well against sportbikes leaving a light as well.
Now, a sporty that is highly modified (chassis, engine, clutch , rider etc...) would be a great race to the 1/4 as those suckers are light and with 4 cam geometry, they rev to the moon!
Once you get into boost and spray, however, the whole game changes...BTW, my bike sucks in the twisties-strictly a straight line performer...

The street rod had a more sporty stance, profile and diff suspension. It's better in the twisties compared to other Vrods(too bad they stopped maiking it).
I had 2 vrods in the past, an 06 a and a 10 muscle. They'r both fast, no question about it. Porsche did help Harley out with the design and development of the engine. Also stock revlimits is at 9000 rpms iirc, so while most ppl are shifting to get 0-60, the guy on a vrod can stay on 2nd and get up to 0-90mph easily. So without comparing it to metrics or sport bikes, I would say BUELL, then Vrods then Sporsters. Just my 02 cents.

Who knew that a stock Nighster was faster in the 1/4 than most GSX-R 600?
According to dragtimes, stock Sportsters are 13-14s at mid-high 90's.
