Let us know after you speak w/ Progressive's rep above.

Your sag issue doesn't seem right, so anyway you look at it you will be removing the springs.

I'd say first step is the measure the spring's free length. Let us know your findings too.

Oil weight and oil level make huge differences in fork performance and exact measurements/ amounts are very much advised.

I did not know HD OEM springs were Progressive's brand!. That's reads like good news.

I buy springs from Sonicsprings. Rich Desmond is legendary. I sent him a question about spring rate and he answered me the next morning - during a three week ride in Alaska!

But springs don't fix the cheap damper rod forks. Intiminators help get rid of that shock when you hit sharp bumps.

You'd be surprised how many Sporty owners who want the bike to handle
drill the fork caps for an air valve..

Per Service book 11.6 oz
My Ricor Intimidators take up some oil volume,,.5 oz
I want a little over to slow fork dive a bit more
So
I filled with 11.3 oz and the volume of the Intimidator gives me 11.8oz actual,,
Perfectomundo.

The progressive company, those springs are a different rate over all.

The stock HD springs are tunable BUT the dampers are no help.
The stock damper weaknesses are less noticable with a slightly stiffer spring rate.
Kudos Progressive XD

Riccor Intimidators Rawk,,Love mine,,New Progressive springs from Progressive
are on my list.

Howz zat for a company plug?

I said Progressive SIX times In this reply,,, :=)

My personal opinion is that progressive rate springs have no place on a bike with 4" of suspension travel for riders 200+ or any two-up use.

I put Progressive springs in my Iron, no oil change, just spring and spacer. These springs should have come in the bike from the factory, the stock ones were crap....

I also installed the 12" air shocks on the back, together with the springs the bike doesn't bottom out in turns so I can actually ride it!

Sorry for late answer or follow up:

Progressive answered and gave confirmed what max oil level should be used. After opening my fork tubes i had to take out a lot of oil to meet the level required. Now the fork is smoother but it still doesn't absorb porperly every bumps and holes. It stills comes in full compression. I should maybe change oil viscosity but some say that a lower grade (5W) should be used while other recomend higher grade such as 15 to 20 W. I don't know what to think about that ( well i would say 5W or stock 10 W in order no to make the fork stiffer)....

I today removed my 412 11'5 progressive shocks because duo is made really difficult, the belt protection crashes into the sabre which hurts my girlfriend back and certainly my bike also... i cut off the side metallic plate holding the lights wires to get some clearance but it wasn't enough.

I've been told that the nighster is originally equipped with 11,5 or even 11' shocks in the US.... can't be smooth to ride!!

i also been to that using 412 series heavy duty could fix the problem, maybe in 12,5'.what do u think?

I'm a lazy bum that hates phones so I never called. Still drives me nuts.
Maybe I'll get around to doing it this week.
