i am dying to get the forward controls, my legs bother me in the position they are in now. I have long legs.

Congrats! You got a nice deal on the bike bud. I am always watching the Sportster market for some reason....this is my 2nd and I paid $3500 for a nice 89' 883H with 36k on it! Bud just bought a 99' 883H with 8k on it for $4k and from what i notice the used 1200 go for 4-5k on average with higher miles.

 

IT'S HOME! Decided to trailer it the hour and a half drive back. Only been riding for 2 weeks now so didn't want to chance it. It's a beauty! Got her polished up and rode her to work as soon as I got out of class today. Soaks up bumps like they aren't there, ruff roads are different but whatever. I love it, couldn't have asked for more! Here's some pics, offer your thoughts and opinions.

Congrats man! Great Deal! Mine's a 1997 XL1200C, and I picked her up for 4,000 about 6 months ago with only 6 thousand miles on her. She looks brand new too. Gotta love it when you score like that.
