Ok so I had to take some pictures of the wifes old bike before it went away. I guess I hadn't been doing a good job of taking pic's as I was adding stuff to her old bike.
So we had only owned this Sporty for 18 months but had always planned on making the 883 a 1200 just not by buying a new bike.

During the time that we had her first bike I had installed a windshield, grips, pull back bars with new cables, reach seat, backrest & luggage rack, engine guard, saddle bags & the fuel gauge that mounts on the brake resivior. I had also put on mini floorboards, highway pegs & a drink holder that I took off so I can install them on her new bike.

So here are a few pictures of what her bike looked like now. I already posted a before picture.

So we took off at about 8:15 from our house and headed to the Harley dealer. Got there at 10:15 and of course it was raining most of the way there. My wife is a real trooper and just kept going. She really wanted that new bike. We found our saleman and found out that they were still working on the new bike because the saddle bags had just gotten there the night before. I had a doctors appointment anyhow at the VA so we took off to that. Of course they were over an hour later getting me in to see me. The wife is chomping at the bit becasue she wants to see her new bike and everyone is being SLOW SLOW.
So we finally get done at the doctors office and head back to the dealership. We walk in the door and there sits her bike. She is like a kid on Christmas morning.

So here she is getting her new bike brief from the sales guy.

And then a few of it sitting next to her old bike.

And then just the bike. I will be going outside and taking some better pic's of it here in a little while.

Wonder if Harley is gonna do this for every 12 and beyond. It would be neat.
