Welcome from Ohio to the HDForums! Be safe, have fun and like Osco said, get some mileage on it before you start customizing.

When I signed the papers on mine, my salesman said "welcome to the sickness!" I didn't get it till I found myself online every hour I wasn't riding looking for stuff to change, tweak or remove.

Like many of the others have said, take the course and focus on learning to ride cuz you really want to keep both wheels down and have fun. After you get a feel for your bike, start making minor changes. Do not do anything drastic until you are sure it is what you want.

Welcome to the forum. You will find a slew of very knowlegable contributors here as well as many ideas for changes/upgrades. I know my inpirations reside here.

With a bit oof luck, you will also find a few members in your area that can coordinate a weekend ride!

You have have nice bike there, get some miles on it and be safe!

By the way what is the cost on the 1k maintenance I should have done at Harley and what do they do?
I just did my 1k service at a dealership in California, which might be a little more expensive then where you are at, I paid about $300 for the service which takes about 3 hours and from what I can understand they go through a 10-15 point checklist.
You can find what is supposed to be done at the 1k service in the back of your owners manual.
I feel the 1st service is worth having the"pros" do and from there on I'll most likely do my own service. I did get a copy of all the stuff they checked, and will use that as a reference for the 5k service.
Enjoy your new bike man, and ride safe !

The 1000 mile service is inexpensive, as are the next few. You should become familiar with the bike and start doing the service yourself soon however. The 10,000 mile service is costly, around $500 to $600 where I live.
Enjoy the bike, ride safe and you'll have that bike for many years of enjoyment.
