I have a 1997 sportster 883h, I m not big on the peanut tank I am hoping to swap it out do other harley tanks fit without alot of mods? What have you done?

 

I bought the fat tank kit on e-bay

 

It's only metal, anything can be made to fit. I think JP cycles had a kit that would allow the 5 gallon flat side tanks to be mounted to a Sportster, also seen plenty of bigger tanks on E-Bay for about 2 bills.

 

I got my Porkster tank off of Craigslisst. It holds 4 Gal. and was made for an earlier bike. So had to make a lift for the front end of the tank.
