Default Bassani sweepers exhaust

Is anybody running the Bassani sweepers exhaust on their Iron? how do you like running a non-baffled pipe? any problems burning your leg with the way the pipe bends? did you install a fuel management system ie. x14ied, pcv, v&H fuelpak? love the look of the pipe just kinda unsure about running a pipe with no baffles. appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

As far as I know, the Sweepers are baffled just the same as my Pro-Streets.

I have FireSweeps on my 48 and trust me they are plenty loud with the baffles in. You might **** off the entire state of Alaska if you take them out.

HogRider is correct, the Sweepers are baffled.

I've got the sweepers on my Iron. They do get hot. I've toasted a leg on my pants, but I haven't burned my leg yet. I haven't put a fuel management mod in yet, still not sure about which one to go with. I am about to upgrade to the Stage 1 AC though.

You should at least look into ied's from Nightrider after you do the AC

They were definitely on my list of possibilities, but I wasn't sure if they would work well with the Bassani pipes. Since the consensus here is they are baffled, and not straight pipes, the ied will probably be my first choice. I've ready good things about them so far.

Since we are talking about Bassani Sweepers, which I'm interested in putting on my 2002 883C, do you think I'd have to rejet my bike considering the fact that I currently have V&H Straight Shots slip-ons, ForceWinder A/C?

Sorry for highjacking the thread but you made it too tempting for me :-)

If it was re-jetted when the current set up was thrown on, you can most likely run the current jets. If you really wanted to, you could always throw the bike on a dyno to fine tune it. It all depends on how well the bike was already tuned/jetted.
