Anybody swap out a 4.5 gallon tank for a 3.3 gallon tank? I'm looking to do this within the next few weeks and am wondering how involved it actually is. Also, does anyone know who carries a tank that will work for this application?

 

im actually thinking about swapping out my 3.3 gallon tank for a bigger one!it should be that hard i believe

I switched out my 3.3 2007 sportster for a 2009 4.5 sportster tank. You just switch it out. Check your bars and risers to make sure you have clearance. I have a extra 4.5 cause I ordered it on ebay then my mechanic happened on a black tank in perfect shape so I have a extra. If you interested PM me its a pearl white tank with a metal strip down the middle in great shape. Fuel injection of course.
