I just got my 08 Nightster fired back up today and rode it for the first time in months. Every time I blip the throttle or start to get after it I hear like a clicking sound coming from some where. I can't exactly pin point the location, but I think it is coming from the primary side around or under the engine. I had to stop looking cause I couldn't really hear anymore after about 5-10 min of trying to find it. I guess keep in ind I haven't change any fluids since I bought it used from the dealer in may of 2010, but I also have only put about 200-500 miles on it. Any help would be appreciated.

 

does it sound like the low fuel click? i "think" i get that too.. sometimes. or i'm going crazy. like a little electrical "zip".
If not, i'll just be quite and go back to my drugs.

 

Yeah well now that you mention it. It almost sounds similar to trying to start the bike when you don't have enough juice, but it just started doing this.
