Ride the bike the way you're going to ride it. The biggest thing is to not max out the RPMs and don't ride for long periods of time at the same RPM range. Vary the RPMs and don't wind the thing out too much and you'll have nothing to worry about. I have about 3400 miles on mine and no problems at all.

That instruction is right out of the manual. I followed it for the first 500 and had no problems. After that ride the heck out of it.
