They are 2 seperate pipes, but the brackets are together. Here is the underside of the pipes in the first pic, the second pic shows where they attatch to the engine case. I believe it is the same place the stock pipes mount. (It looks like it mounts to the cover bolt, but it is not, it is the bolt just to the right and lower from the cover bolt seen in the pic.) I love my pipes and you can see a few scrapes but most of that is mud.
The finish is starting to discolor at the heads from the heat, but otherwise, no issues with the finish peeling or flaking.

That's because I just took it off the lift and pulled the cover off. It is never 55 degrees in Jan here always below freezing. Yesterday it was 55 today it's windy as hell, snowing and 23 degrees out.

Ha, he said he has 2 sets available... Not sure what you're running, but these are for Mid controls only. I'm still waiting on a shipping quote, wondering if he'll even ship up here to Canada.

Won't you lose exhaust scavenging when you go without a crossover? Sure, for WOT, it might be ok but you don't drive WOT all day long do you?

I did consider a 2 to 1 for Bassini but supposedly the D&D Bobcats will have better clearance hence my leaning towards the D&D

Definitely correct, from a strictly performance view, 2-1 is the way to go. Especially with the bobcat, heard nothing but good about them.

Lots of times we choose form over function, if I wanted maximum performance I wouldn't have bought a balloon tired "48".
2-2 drags compliment the particular look I'm after.

And from what I've read, the Bassani pro streets are actually a pretty well performing pipe, compared to the usual 2-2 V&H Straigh Shots.

I don't see why they wouldn't work with forwards, if you are running forwards, you may have an issue with your pant leg getting burned.

I'm running forward controls on my scoot, and as I stated above....I've only had one issue of my leg touching the exhaust and that was moving it around my basement while wearing some fleece sweatpants. I've never had any other issue with my leg touching it or jeans getting burnt.

Might be due to slight changes between model years and the frame change....Mine's a 2000.
