Tips on Removing Paint from Tank.

I want to remove the paint from my 2.1 gallon tank and was most likely going to sand it unless anybody has a better/easier idea. If sanding is the best way can somebody give me some grit numbers on the sandpaper and any other handy tips. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

just paint it on and wipe it off, I have used this on a ton of tanks that I have done in the past, dont waste your time sanding off old paint.

If you DO sand, use 80 grit to get it off, then go over the tank with 180 grit, then 320 grit and you won't need a high-build primer to reduce deep scratches. I would rather sand than liquid strip.

why is sanding better than the liquid strip. just curious

If the current paint is not gouged or in really bad shape I would not strip it at all. Just scuff it and put some primer sealer on it...save a bunch of time/effort/money.

Don't waste your time with the spray-on Airplane Stripper products. WORTHLESS on denim paint anyway.

will it work well with normal glossy paint and clear coated? i want to strip mine down to bare metal, and no paint for an purposely unfinished look.
