I bought the HD helmet lock but when I went to mount it I couldn't find a place for it.

I was thinking on the down tubes but they are too big in diameter.

If anyone has the HD one I'd appreciate knowing where you mounted it.

I don't have an engine guard but I have a cruise bar. I think that is probably the only option.

thanks!
By chance do you have either an engine guard or a rack on your bike? If so, you can purchase either the HD helmet lock (HD dealership) and the helmet extender (Amazon) to keep the helmet off your paint or buy a PacSafe MC bag (Amazon) for both your helmet and jacket to secure them on the rack. Either one will do the trick.

I use the end-of-handle-grip helmet lock by Kuryakyn on the end of my ISO grips.

Mine just sits on my mirror. I use thumb cuffs to lock it to mirror if i'm going to be away for more than a few minutes, but have only done that 2 or 3 times.

The front axle hole (photo above) - pad lock to chin strap - is a great idea!

Basic and versatile...thread thru the D-rings on your helmet and secure wherever you want. All you are looking for is temporary casual theft prevention anyway. http://www.amazon.com/OnGuard-Akita-...889762&sr=1-12
