RAJ,

Very good news. I am happy to hear that Harley-Davidson still cares even in the local dealers don't. Who in corporate did you deal with?

I am unhappy with how my dealer delivered my new 1200 C to me. Low on oil and low on tire pressure (15psi front & 25psi rear). No wonder it handled badly. Thought I'd send a letter to the corporate office to tell them how their dealers are not doing their job.

Do it. If more people did it then maybe the dealers wouldn't be stealers.

Glad to hear of your succes story. I would like the # of harley that you called as I am having some noise in my engine that I don't like. I have had it to the dealer at 500 mi and for the 1000 mi adjustments. The noise I hear is what I would describe as a lifter knock or a rod knock. It happens when accelerating. 05 883 The dealer said that they can not hear the noise. I love my Harley its my 1st and this noise is kind of spoiling it for me. I have waited 48 years for a Harley. LOL

I just want to let you know that your engine noise is normal for the 883, My wife rides an 883 custom and when I get on it from my twin cam it sounds like its coming apart on decel. Ive had it to a few dealers and every dealer was able to start other 883's for me and they all do it, TRUST ME ON THIS ONE!! Your engine is fine, just ride it!! Also, do you have a windshield on your bike? WIndshields have a tendency to magnify engine noise.

It's always nice to see these sort of situations end up with HD or whever doing the right thing. THAT'S how you start building a loyal customer - stand behind your product and pull your dealer's punk card if you have to.

Congrats dude - enjoy your new scooter.

Post some pics when you take it home...
