Default Spoked Wheel warp issue

My son recently took his 06 883 into a dealer for a recurrent loose spokes on the rear wheel. He was told that the wheel was warped due in part to the heat conditions here in South Florida. I did not know the 'Sunshine State" had such adverse effects on spoked wheels. Any other experiences and or issues with
spoked wheels/warpage out there? Need your input. Thanks.

Although their reasoning may be ridiculous, warped wheels do happen. He can replace just the rim hoop. I'm sure the hub is fine.
