My 48 180 rear conversion pics

Tz, it looks great! You've obviously done some homework on this so perhaps you can answer this question; do you know if there's a compatible 'Iron style 13 spoke aluminum factory Sporty wheel that will be wide enough and work in place of the Dyna wheel? I'm not much into having to go with a spoked wheel so maybe I'm just out of luck, I need another option, or maybe I should just give up on the idea entirely, I 'dunno...
...any suggestions or ideas? Thanks.

not a 13 spoke,
but you could add/remove some paint to help match them.

Ok, I love my 48 but just couldn't get past the 150 rear tire. After a lot of measuring and investigating I came up with a combo that works. 2013 dyna fat bob rear wheel and a 180/55/17 Scorcher 11 tire, you'll also need a rim band and a tube. At this moment I have it all mocked up and aside from some minor trimming on "through fender" bolts everything seems to be fitting very well.
Stock wheel is 16x3.5 and the dyna wheel is 17x4.5 however both hubs are the same. Stock rear tire "in use" dimensions are 6.5 wide and 26.06 diameter and the new tire is 7.48 wide and 25.35 diameter. Although the stock rear is a Scorcher 31 and the 180 diameter would have been much closer I chose the Scorcher 11 180 because it was a touch narrower then the 31.
If I can help anyone with part number, measurements etc.. Just let me know

It's from a nightrain softail. As I said on paper it should fit but only time will tell

There are several stock Harley wheels that are 4.5" x 17", fitted on Softail and Dyna models since around 2000. I have a Deuce wheel in my Glide. Stock tyre size for those is 160/70, but there is also a 170/60 available. My Avon Storm 160/70 measures 167mm wide on the wheel. So along with the tyres previously mentioned, there is a graduated range of slightly different widths available, to suit all tastes!
