Installed my NIB Cycle Shack turnouts. Found them on Ebay for $30.00 plus $50.00 shipping. Built and boxed in 2006.

I hope you enjoy your new place in Tennessee. You're right near some great riding roads!

Nice find. I also noticed you are located in Sandpoint, ID.
Just wondering if you ever go by/visit Hammer Performance ?

Thanks,

T.

I am no longer in Sandpoint. Moved to Idaho Falls almost 3 years ago. And yes, did visit them when I lived there and they are great people.
Been looking fo the Cycle Shacks for some time, plenty out there for Softails but very few for Sportsters.

Today I bought a stablemate for my Iron 883 in the form of a BSA Gold Star 650 'Legacy Edition'.

Pre-registered with 16 miles on the clock at £1k less than the new retail price.

I like the classic British styling of the machine, it will be fun braking her in over the summer.

I wish they had gone air cooled rather than stick the rad on the front

Sadly, they've had to make it liquid cooled to comply with the strict European emission regulations.

The last of the air cooled Sportster models were imported into Europe in 2020, two years before H-D ceased production. Unfortunately the old Sporty motor failed to comply with Euro 5. emission requirements.

The 652cc motor was designed by Rotax, so it is practically bombproof. Maximum power is 45 hp at 6500 rpm, maximum torque is 55 Nm at 4000 rpm. The claimed top speed is 105 mph.

Braking is by Brembo and the tyres are Pirelli Phantoms.

That's pretty respectable for a 40 cubic inch one-lunger...
