Have to say I really like the theme! Do the ammo boxes rattle? The top handles?

Just wondering. Looks great. GOOD LUCK with the shake-down rides.

I took that class with my bagger...yea its can wear you down but it also is worth it IMO. Did the first class a few years back to get my license in the the first place. AGAIN imo well worth it!

Yeah the handles are a unexpected side effect. But over 40 mph, cant hear it. The boxes them selves dont rattle have 3 1/8 inch steel bars bent up as a bracket to keep them snug. And only about 120 bucks total to get it done. Could do maybe a week trip of clothes in them.

I've thought about using cans like that on my bike. I just like the utilitarian aspect of them and metal is good. With a slight mod, you can make them lockable, and I imagine making them removable would be fairly easy to do as well.

Here's my question. I see how you mounted them with the fender strut bolts. Do you think that will cause some stress factors with the weight cantilevered out there like that?

To be quite honest most use they will get is probably few groceries every now and then, and hand guns and some ammo to the range. Weight can possibly be a issue if fully loaded all the time but for infrequent use it should be fine. Hauled 4 bottles of jack in my old vtx bags and clothing for a weekened years back and they mounted the same way. The only diffrence was 3/4 of a inch out verses the 2 inch in front and 2.5 inches rear.

Will get around to massaging the cans by the shocks to fit closer at some point. If i keep this route for a while.

I'm still looking for some cans that will allow a nice fit for a 12 pack.

Find a soft side cooler that will fit the army cans. More versatile and you can carry your lunch or a 6 pack in them.
