rebuilt my rear brake caliper, master cylinder and replaced the brake line. Installed creamin' beagle II slip ons I got from cvaria, they sound pretty darn good.

great pipes, especially when you are riding hard, that thunder/magma/explosion sound is like music.

Replaced the timing cover with a piece from LC Fabrications, repainted with PJ1 Fast Black Satin Black engine paint, put a new gasket in place and reinstalled. Kinda dig the two tone grey to black case. Waiting on a new derby cover to come in the mail this week so I'll do that side next weekend. Also, sanded primed and repainted the side covers for the oil tank and replaced the trim piece around the dipstick. For future reference that trim piece is plastic not metal so be prepared to spend $20 for a replacement if you aren't careful removing it.

to be honest. Those "issues" are probably just the nature of the beast. compression is the same, the heat is there still as well. Probably tore it down again for nothing.... still no idea what i'm doing.

bike runs strong and behaves. If it all blows up in my face...

Make sure u have the right year first. Stick it in there n then turn it clockwise about 1/4-1/2 a turn n it should seal up. Mine works really easy.

what? I have a 2001 iron 1340, will this work? It's badass and has short shots... will the dipstick work with short shots?
