I did not install tubes back into the 07, it got cartridge's. My new tubes for my bike now will be 11 inch but im going to run the spacer so they will be 9 1/2. Giving me 2 more inchs of travel.

Why go that route instead of shorter tunes?

I went that route so I have some room to adjust. I can run different length spacers on the tubes and obtain anywhere from 1 inch to 4 inch's of extra travel.

Yes, they were, I'm not sure of the amount, but the RK shocks are 13". The originals were different, one was 3/4" shorter than the other, and only one was adjustable for preload. Stupid HD design.

Not so old chap! Harleys still come on pretty poor suspension, it cannot be denied, but the principle of different shocks or fork cartridges is very good. In essence each shock or fork leg does a different job - one side does compression damping, the other side does rebound damping, which in turn means the springs can be different. The benefit is that there is no lag when transitioning from compressing the suspension to extending it.

I have Ohlins fork cartridges in my Glide with that feature and it is very easy for us to buy far better aftermarket suspension than stock, but if the MoCo selected better products in the first place we would have nothing to discuss.....

New to the forum, many have been welcoming, thanks.

Changed my bars from clip-ons to bitwell tracker flipped upside down.

Upcoming project: chop struts (still deciding if I wanna chop till the first bolt for a bob fender or chop right before the spring
-Add air intake (arlen ness air sucker... cant decide chrome or the black one)
