The "you'll get bored of a Sportster" line always cracked me up. I rented a Dyna about a year and some change ago (103"-6sp) and was bored on it within about 50mi into my weekend with it. Thank goodness I didn't get the even bigger/slower Street Glide I was thinking about instead!

The Sporty has about 100x the entertainment factor of those big, lazy slow-revving boats.

"Can't we all just get along" (Rodney King)! Lighten up people. We all share the wind in the face need. Doesn't matter what kind of HD it is. I have an 06 883 Sporty that I use to beat around town. Its a great bike with plenty of power. I also have an 09 Street Glide that I use for my long trips. Both are great bikes that I enjoy. My sons use the Sporty to ride with me and they are both combat veterans. One is 5'11 and the other is 6'. Neither look stupid on the Sporty. Enjoy your rides. Keep the bashing for the rice rockets!

I've owned my 88 883 since it came out of the crate it was shipped in. I don't get bored of it and still don't. I too am 5' 10" / 220 and love the bike. It's true I do not ride it as much as the ElectraGlide.........but I do ride it when I'm going around town here and there. The bike is fast and a comfortable for me. And that's all that matters.

Nice bike. Why are you wearing girls gloves? Next time buy a bike with a clock and it will save you a pile of money. You know I am kidding with you right

Was that you I passed like you were standing still hogging the left lane? I cruise at over 80 mph on the slab. Thanks for playing though.

I used to collect Swiss mechanical watches years ago. At one time I had 100 of them. Both current (at the time) and vintage (many NOS). I understand the obsession.

You're lucky! I went riding with one guy who was 5'6" or 7" and had an awesome bike. Asked if I could sit for a second and I realized there was no way I could have the cool mids with clip ons like he did just because I was folded up like a pretzel.
