CVMA check in!

A lot of good brothers in CVMA, I rode with them and was an officer out here in Cali for 3years. Biggest problem I noticed was the org as a whole is more worried about quantity rather than quality. We had over 50members in our Chapter and I only met about half of them, and I was very active member. A lot of guys get the patch and just wanna wear it to look cool or something. Then you got members trying to act like they are MC members and have to get put in their place. I had a huge problem with the fact they don't run background checks, not sure if any of you heard of this and if you didn't shame on Nationals for not sharing it with every members, but I found out from a friend of my uncles that is an MC member in Idaho that one of the CVMA members in Idaho was a Vietnam vet and retired sheriff that got busted for molesting his stepdaughter, did prison time, got out, and became a member. I got all the evidence and they drug their feet and finally the guy was outed. I still have a lot of friends in CVMA and support some of their runs.

Would like to hear the good and bad of CVMA. Never bothered joining because the whole purpose of riding is to get away from any rules and meetings but hung out at the CVMA bike nights in Central Texas always had a good time. Have a kid now so way less free time and it would be good to be able to plug right into a group of riders every time I PCS.

Well the good is you don't even need to join and you will still be welcomed to join any and all rides events and meetings. If the meeting has a member only time you will politely be asked to wait outside until the chapter items are covered.
There is no pressure to join, and if you do there is no pressure to attend anything you don't want to.

How many Combat veterans Motorcycle association riders do we have here?
Post up some picks and tell us were your from.
Deuce, formally La 6-1 and currently NC 15-1.
Wreaths across America escort 2013 with the PGR, this was also a missing man formation for one of our fallen riders.
