Just when you thought it was over....

With 71 miles on the odometer I took my brand new 2018 Sunglow Fade CVO Limited to my indy and had them install a BRIDGESTONE POTENZA RE960AS POLE POSITION RFT 195/55 - 16 with 2 bottles of Ride On.

You can say a lot of things about me, but one thing you cannot say is that I do not put my money where my mouth is.

It took 4 guys to hold the upper sidewall down as the machine slid it under the rim. The good news is that it only took about 40 psi to get the bead to seat!

I am currently running 34 psi cold and the HD TPMS throws a low pressure fault every time I start the bike. Is there any way to adjust the low press set point? On a 80 degree day riding 2 up at 70 plus the pressure climbed to 39 psi.

The Ride On makes the bike ride smooth as silk and this bike with CT handles better than my 2011 RGU did with the GMax. Maybe those of you who said run flats where the way to go are on to something!

Expect someone to come along and tell you that will void the "engine" warranty.

I wish my 07' had a wider rim so I could run one.

First some pictures:





Now for the bad news,

As I mentioned earlier every time I start up the bike it throws a "Low Tire Pressure" fault (I am currently running 34 psi cold). Appearently that is causing the Security indicator ( item #13 on Figure 14 Instruments) to go on and off randomly as ride. Does anyone know if there is anything I can do other than run 40+ psi?

An old 4wd trick is is build a little PVC capsule and throw the sensor in it, then pressurize it to what you need. You will lose the sensor in the tire, but the fault code will stop.

That could be easily done and stashed in a fairing pocket or taped to the inside of a saddlebag or tourpak lid. Bike looks great!!!

I finally did it!! 25800 on my original tires.. Could have gotten some more out of the rear, but the front was used up..
Rides nice, had it up to 80, rock solid.. noted uneven pavement cracks don’t have the same violent reactions, to me it seems a little less pronounced..
Running 40psi rear and 32 in the BT-45 up front..
I used Ride-On in the back, and Dynabeads in the front..
All in all, works great!! Feels just slightly different, not an unsafe different though.




Almost ready to ride...
