My friend bought 17 RGS with the new motor, and I am thinking about one also. Looking at the ve tables they are tps vs the map that I have worked with. So with the map ve' we know the egr/charge dilution runs out at 60/65 kpa, I was wondering where that defining line was with the tps setup.

Thanks

Well for what it's worth I've seen a couple of ways of putting a line across a VE(TPS) table but it never really worked when it came to working out EGR.

I bought a copy of MegaLogViewer and used it to generate VE(MAP) tables from collected logs, you can use that to see how the CDE is looking.

On the other hand, if it's EGR ...and you have a TTS, vTune 3 works out EGR for you [Edit: strike that ...I see you have a PV]

Gordon, I have used both TTS on a 12 RG, and now a vision with my current bike. Both are map based. I have made manual adjustments on both and have retuned to check the results, many times, lol! I was just curious about where the table stopped having an effect like 15, 25, 30% tps for a reference for the future. Thanks

Ah ok. By all accounts it varies between engines and builds but my stage 3 101B looked pretty much the same as the example shown in the TTS guide. My line started the same but was one cell further to the right at 4K revs.

Get a decent log with as much riding variation as possible. I used Excel to create a scatter graph of RPM vs TPS. Then I filtered the results to only show data where MAP was less than or equal to 60

That will show where the lower MAP is in effect on the VE tables for your riding/engine.

If you want more of a line, filter the data to only show 58 =< MAP <= 60

You should get something like this (my log didn't have much data in it, but you get the idea)

So for example
@3000rpm, MAP up to 60 pretty much only happens below 19% TPS
