Full Throttle Key West Poker Run Jan 20
Is anyone doing this run?
It starts at K and G Cycles in Florida City with several stops along to Key West and ending at Ocean Edge Key West Resort.
So far I've only seen the event on Facebook (search "Full Throttle Key West Poker Run.") The event shows 90 people going, with 848 interested and 230 shares.
Facebook says for info call 727-935-4875. (Post is by "Florida Full Throttle Magazine.")

Was in Key West in Nov. Have made the trip 3 times by Bike and 10 times in a car. We always enjoyed stopping off at local spots taking a leisurely pace getting down to KW. Now with all the damage Irma left, and the folks taking pictures, and rubber necking at the piles of waste, appliances, trailers and boats, along the highway, at least in Nov. the pace was stop and go at best. Especially from the middle Keys down to KW. Big Pine as reported by several really took the brunt of Irma and it shows.
If you do the run pack your patience with you. Its heartbreaking to know how it was and see the Keys now. Many folks refused to leave and most are working hard to rebuild, The Conch's are a tough bunch, but it will be a long time for some....if ever that things get back to pre-Irma status.
Tourism is the main source of income....if you go it will help, just remember that most of the places you go have been through a major hurricane and sustained some form of damage. Things are getting better, but its not as good as it was.
