This time of the year many of our small communities have a festival, carnival, livestock show, rodeo, or what ever you want to call it. The Hendry County one in Clewiston is one of those festivals. Small town atmosphere with good food. Moore Haven's festival is called Chalo-Nitka (Indian word for day of bass). LaBelle has the Swamp Cabbage Festival. Okeechobee has the Catfish Festival. Belle Glade has the Black Gold Jubilee. Lakeport has the sour orange festival. And many more.
It will be just a small parade with dignitaries, queens and princesses, and a few business floats and high school bands.
Like I said "A small town thing". I have lived in a small town all my life and would not live any where else. Some city boys would be bored with this laid back lifestyle.
I hope you can make it 'cause I would love to see your bike. I have missed the rides that you have been on.
I am also a small town kind of guy. Always lived in small towns that have done things like that. Not sure if I'll be able to make this one, but will let you know. I've only been able to put 139 miles on my new motorcycle in almost a month and it's KILLING me!!! I want to get it out (and show it off, haha).
