Hwy 441 keeps you east of Atlanta and you can swing by Stone Mountain for a visit, Well worth the trip if you have never been. Make sure you go to the top. http://www.stonemountainpark.com/att...r/default.aspx

From Clearwater head north and get on RT 129 in Cheifland, FL and you can take that ALL the way to the Dragon.

As an alternative to the above, I take this route which avoids traffic through the Warner Robbins & Macon area. Travel time is about the same.

Nah, been racking them up since long before then. A couple of 3,000+ mile trips to NC each year is 1/3 of it, along with a 300 mile lunch ride ritual every week for the last 2.5 years

thats a good looking route. i will be heading into franklin instead. got family there. its a nice straight route 600 miles. i like that one. would alternate a few roads, but thats a good one. took that route from franklin nc last year through eatonvill area down to macon is a nice route i think its 441. love the old towns.
