What's with the skulls, etc?
I've got some opinions about the popularity of death themed art on bikes, helmets, tattoos, patches, and that sort of thing....but I'd like to hear yours. Why do we like this stuff?

well my fascination can be surmised by either one of two things or hell both.
A: my familys history in the navy or rather its background during the days of piracy on the seas of old
or B: my sick and twisted mind
neither of which has been proven but i do like skulls

Skulls
Skulls have been popular with HD riders for awhile, of course, and are also on alot of rice burner clothing now. I have also seen the bony heads on teenager T shirts for about a year...maybe longer. I don't know what its all about. If I had to guess I'd say it's another way to show you're fitting in to the mainstream.
Its kinda like Tats...they were cool by setting someone apart at one time. They often were worn to show affiliation to a belief or a respected organization. Now most soccer moms have got them and they really don't signify much and are usually just decoration. Not that decoration is a bad thing. JMHO.
