That's unbelievable. I didn't expect that storm to still be around without going back over water.
What are you doing in Cadiz? Hunting but what else? You have family there? Kind of out of the way for even me...

Hunting at a property right off Foxes Bottom Rd.
I hunt with my Ex's dad. They live in Cleveland but he owns a property out in Cadiz.

Started to roar outside, took my granddaughter out to enjoy some wind in the face, looked cute with her hair stretched out straight behind her, shoulda took a photo. Weather guessers said it topped 50mph in my area. Kinda doubt it, maybe 30, 35. Although I've never seen the trees bend and shake more than they did today. Then rain, then clearing, jumped on the 1200 to see what happened around the neighborhood and Momma Nature said Gotcha! and a wet 1200 and its wet rider went home.

iPhone doesn't show the sky anywhere near what it looked like, and you probably can't tell some of the tree limbs are bending away, as are the squash leaves showing their bottoms on top of the rebar fences. Long as I have the clothes to stay comfortable, I like wild weather.

Hola Jack!

Slug Gun only!
There isn't enough xanax in the world to get me still enough to use a bow.

Free ranging bucks NOT shot over bait...

It's legal to bait in TX but most mature bucks in high pressured areas will NOT come to bait in daylight hours. I shot both of those bucks, one in late November, one in December, well after gun season in high pressured areas. Very proud of them because they had avoided the gun hunters and I was able to take them with my bow. I paid meticulous attention to my scent control, and deer movement, especially during the rut. I saw the buck in the second pic only once, out of range, moved my stand and killed him that evening at dark.

Second buck I hunted my *** off. Buck in the first pic. White antlers. Very unusual in TX. I knew him well and he gave me the slip time and time again. One late, cold evening hunt post rut in December, his luck ran out...
