Proved my manhood long ago. If a purple bike is what I happened to like, I'd buy it. Had a purple car long ago. Nobody seemed to think it was a girly car..... and I could've cared. Dodge called the color "Plum Crazy" and it nicely clothed the '70 Challenger and 440 under the color.

 

I like purple. It's not too girly. Like the guy above, I'm man enough to ride purple.

I'm not man enough to ride a pink bike though. Couldn't handle it. I saw an old biker with a long grey beard on a pink and white Harley. He was man enough.

FWIW, I don't like yellow (just don't like it) or gloss black (feel like it's too common).

I have not problem with it. They just call mine Vivid Black and Black Ice. Lot's of compliments, and my wife loves it!

 

I just bought the a FLSTC w/ the colors of white ice pearl and black ice pearl. And ya know what "i luv it".
I don't think any of us here on the forum really "give a crap" wether someone else likes it or not. Its mine amd FU

 

Depends on the purple.

The Triumph Thunderbird 1700 comes in "phantom haze" that looks pretty cool (it's like a red/purple fade)

 

Only if it was the one that prince rode in purple rain...lol!

My wife thinks my bike is purple..I say it's Midnight Cherry Pearl. Who cares? I think it's cool...my wife thinks it's cool...my friends think it's cool..strangers who stop to talk to me about it think it's cool..Purple/Midnight Cherry Pearl is cool. Then again...maybe Midnight Cherry Pearl isn't purple and maybe that's why a lot of people think it's cool.

 

Depends on the shade of purple. I've seen some great looking deep purple paint that looks almost black until it's in the sunlight, then you can see its a dark, deep purple. Almost like eggplant.
Light, bright purple? Hell no.
