I put more miles on my bikes in a month than most do in a year. I have shinny bikes but if I want to ride one I don't feel like I have to detail it before going out.

Shiny is nice but should not be a requirement for riding.

i clean my bike regularly for 2 reasons: looks & inspection. for everyone's safety a bike owner should routinely inspect his/her bike. Harley's vibrate so much you always have to be looking for something vibrating loose. i personally NEVER cut on a person's ride. "to each his own" But just for the record, we're not talking about a 'dirty' bike .. we're talking about a bike that has been ridden hard and never cleaned.

I do check all my bikes on a regular schedule the stroker more so don't want any parts falling off. Every 2500 miles the stroker get a complete work over checking the belt and chain tention looking for oilleaks, tire presure, wires, loose bolts and oil change and yes wash and chrome polish

I've had people (including my wife) say they don't like the denim paint and I've also heard bad comments about my beer can oil filter cover but I had my big boy underwear on at those times and just ignored it.

I clean my bike for 2 reasons also.
1. I like the look of it clean
2. I'm not rich and the money I spend on it is a lot to me so I want to keep it up as good as I can and keep it as long as I can.

One time I had a gal walk over and ask if my bike was a Honda, does that count?

Only when I was riding rice burners.
I had more riders on HD's commenting on the outstanding condition of my Goldwing than Honda riders. But quite frankly I don't give a rats a*s about other's comments unless they are the one signing the check for the bike's purchase.

Yea that counts.

I had a guy ask me if my bike was one of those new Night Bobs, whatever the hell that is.

OH come, I've had both men and women ask me if my husband/Ol man minded me riding his bike. WTF??? He doesn't drive my car and he doesn't ride my bike-because he doesn't like how they feel, I don't like riding his for the same reason....

although, people tend to get outta my way faster when I drive his H3 LOL

I was at the doctor's office one day and my ol lady and I were looking down at my bike from the third floor and a doctor walked up behind us and said "is that your little bike down there?" I had a complex over that all day. lol
