Default Upgrade my Sportster Pipes?

Hey- can anyone out there tell me if V and H slip ons are the right way to go on my Sportster. I have the factory pipes on now but need to be a little louder. Would this be the logical progression? Are they very loud?
thanks

I just bought the V&H slip-on`s - got the factories off but need the gasket to finish the install (tomorrow) I`ll let you know how loud they are compared to stock but I bought them based on recommendations from others - many say they are too loud and I should have bought the baffles - can`t wait to see.

I used the D&D Slip-On Slash Cuts. with these you don't run lean if you keep the stock air filter and you don't the power commander upgrades. Just slip them on and your good to go. It gives the bike a deep loud HD sound (potato-potato) without any backfiring.

+1 on the V&H slipon straight shots. I had these on my 1200 Roadster, then rejetted and installed a Kuryakyn Hi-Five air cleaner. The Hi-Five got in the way of my knee and was doubleplusimpossible to remove for maintenance. But while I had it all together, that bike could make girls nekkid and babies cry!

Oooooh, but those pipes. Budda-tu-dudda-tu-dudda-tu-Budda. I removed 'em and put the bike back to stock so I could sell it easier, but then Miz Roo bought it and the FIRST THING she wanted was V&H straight shots. They're easier to put on the second time around, and the sound absolutely can't be beat.

They're not just loud. They're CLASSY and loud. You're gonna love 'em.

Don't forget the S/E slip-ons , depending on what you want , not real
loud but has a deep sound to them .
