Do that every morning, at the school by my house on the way to work. This morning, he waved back and almost stepped into traffic.

I'm going to wave at everyone that waves to me. I'm not sure why someone wouldn't be friendly out there but waving almost seems like a tradition, except harley riders.
Since I started riding I always wondered why harley riders didn't wave....anybody know why?

I think you are looking for the VESPAforum.
I don't think it is a "Harley rider" thing. I have met plenty of people on metrics that didn't care to wave.

Hell, back when I lived in Memphis, if we went to Miss, every vechicle you met gave a one finger wave. (fore finger, not middle finger) Driving a pickup for work, meeting cars, trucks, didn't matter. We just called it the Mississippi wave then.
Seems a wave has always been there as long as I've been riding. It has changed over the years though. I think it is a low wave now. At one time it was more like the "black power" fist in the air.

I agree with DMorr99. I don't know how long ago the "Wave" thing started. Probably when all the yuppies started to ride. Just my 2 cents,Yuppie Owners. If you're driving your PU truck would you wave at another guy driving his PU truck? I know, you're going to tell me it's not the same. IMO "IT IS THE SAME"
Corvette owners always do the waye to each other.
