Oh man another "I'm afraid of the big bad wifey" thread. well--MAN UP, BITCH!! Here's how I tell the ol' lady I'm gettin' a new bike. Works every time:

Took a Little Finaggling but basically when sold the Boat , Camper, and Bike Hauler. all which were just sitting, convinced her that was no better option than to spend that money on an Evo Classic which were only 316 like it made ..

I'm kind in the same boat myself. Love my Fat Bob, but really want a Bagger for long trips. My better half's is the $$ maker nearly by double. I'm a Firefighter for the city, and she's a FNP. Trying to convince her, not working. She hates bikes. Guess where she was an ER Nurse for years. "You've already got one!"

I love it, some great ideas, thanks all. I think I'm going with the "I got a great deal on a bike and this necklace." Looks like I will be hitting the jewelry stores this weekend. Thanks all.

This is easy... you bring home the second bike... a gift for her...(throw the necklace over the mirror if you want to kick it up)... then, "oh dear, I forgot, you don't ride, oh, well since it's here, might as well stay. Let her give it a name.

Old lady told me to get a second bike. Still wiping the beer off my face as I choked when she told me. Said she might ride one day instead of riding 2 up. Hers is more modified than mine. 103 with 211's, python true duals, tuner, bags, custom seat, etc. Was looking at a used Fatboy SE but was overruled for the 10 FLSTN. Pisser is, is she knows she can pass me anytime she feels like it. Having the best time of my life, don't have to ride 2 up anymore. Anybody got any ideas on her attitude?????
