Tried to play a round on the front 9 last night. Right when I was stepping up to the tee box the grounds crew informed me that the green was not properly trimmed and asked me to hold off playing my round until they could get the green trimmed nice and close. A little bummed so I decided to make liberal use of the ball washer instead..........

Many greenskeepers do not have that option on every hole! Consider yourself lucky.

At least there is a grounds crew keeping you informed and working at least part time. Otherwise your just playing in the jungle, and that's a good way to lose a ball or two.

I'm just sittin' here takin' it all in ( be nice ) ... I exhibited my ignorance on this topic yesterday and am now studying full time so as not to make the same "foul" again.
