Default Can you Identify my bike

Hi all,

New-ish member to the forums - previous employee for Harley so have used the forums for information before, now it's for personal use.
Thank you for having me firstly ML&R!

I have recently purchased an old 1990 FLHTP Electra Glide, being the same age as this bike I think it's cool with the lights and all but I would like to find out the history of the old girl and where she came from when she started life out in the US, all I know from the previous owner is it left America in 1993 and has been living here in Guernsey Channel Islands UK ever since, I don't think it made it to service, I have tried the VIN search on HD-net and portal but this only tells me (copy & paste) 1990 ELECTRA GLIDE STANDARD POLICE (WINDSHIELD) (FLHTP)

Is the gearbox different on this compared to a standard Glide or a Sport because of potential pursuits? Can anyone out there help in my pursuit of knowledge?

Thanks in advance, will check back soon

Gearing should be no different than any other FL of that year.
If I’m mistaken, I have no doubt someone will correct me.
Very clean bike by the way.

Can't help you with your question but is it legal to run it with those badges? Would have thought the original owner would have removed it?

Anyway.. Welcome

Hope you enjoy your ride here.

Only as a suggestion, create a signature
line for your
bike, year, model, and all the
code letters.

You can add a bike photo to the signature too.

And also as a suggestion, make your next new post over in the new member welcome area to say hello.

Call Harley Davidson customer service at 1-414-343-4887. They answered all my questions about the history on a previous FLH I purchased. Hope this helps.
