Getting ready for riding season!!!
#21
Live just north of Green Bay .. same thing, bikes don't go on the road until the salt is gone. I add in a few extra prayers to my daily routine mid-March into April asking for a couple of good soaking rains!

That....and here in MA, even worse. As I look out the window this morning, there is like 4 feet of snow (not joking), and it snowed last night and again tomorrow. I'd love to say April, but realistically there could still be snow on the ground in May, not to mention all that sand and salt.....sign me, bummed in MA.
I'm still struggling looking out over 15 Foot snow piles merging onto the road in my car. I usually shoot for April 1st, however that isn't gonna happen this year. I feel this years riding season is going to be put off for at least three weeks or so at the best. I won't go out until several heavy rains have washed the salt off of the roadways. I'm patient however. No problem.
We just shoveled the "roof". Dam stuff was heavy!
Some towns have a pothole "hotline" to notify the DOT of potential road hazards. Dam things are so big.

We're all experienced riders and we all know that riding will come somewhere at the end of April up here... and safer riding will come in May:
- salt and sand in corners;
- potwholes and cracks;
- cagers not use to see bikers after 5 months of winter;
it's the same thing every year... we will again hold our lives in our hands so lets get prepared and have safe rides again this year!
Today in Quebec we got a great warm day (almost 36F) and it's nice to see the melting snow!
