So I Checked On Parts Pricing Cam Shoe Change
#11
Just get a James Cam Service Gasket kit for like 60 bucks and the two factory shoes and cam bearings discounted 20% from boardtracker/surdyke etc.
Factor in 60-100 bucks to have the cams pressed out and the new bearings/shoes installed unless you have a press and the correct tools.
I would also take the time to upgrade to timkin inner cam bearings as well but factor in another 100 bucks for the tool if you don't have access to one.
+1 on the Comp Cams 850-1 lifters. They are like 15 bucks a piece. Work well.

So I just did all this on my 2002 Road King, in the UK the parts all in ran me at around £300, that was:
Gasket Kit (which includes all new bearings and gaskets required)
Both tensioners (they are pricey, circa 60 quid each!)
Oh and only half an hour labour as they f***ed up the bearing retaining plate screws so I did the pressing back in myself after spending some time with the Helicoil.
