My driving record is spotless, I have a bike endorsement on my drivers license and have attended the MSF advanced riders course. I live in Florida (which doesn't help!) and after beating the bushes extensively, the best deal for me, by several hundred dollars, was progressive. 2006 Street Glide = $525

Again we have the same question about insurance costsand I'll give the same answer I always give. Unless someone lives inthe sameexactZip Code as you dowith the same bike and credit rating and the same age as you with the same driving record and has the same coverage as you are looking to get then it doesn't matter what anyone sayswhat they pay for their coveragebecause it's an apples and watermelons comparison. The prices quoted by us mean nothing unless we meet all of the above criteria. For what it's worth and this means absolutely nothing, I pay $400.00 per year through AARP Foremost.

I got HD insureance. on my Ultra . Pays the resonable tow bill and covers 3K extra and a good price on the bike and uninsured motorest. And at 375.00 a year I think it's a good deal.
BUT the medical covers others not you or anyone rideing with you who lives in your house.
Repeat IT DOES NOT COVER anyone riding with yu who lives in your house!!!! it covers your family members who don't live with you but not anyone liveing IN your house!!
They figure anyone liveing with you will be on your health insureance policy . SO be aware of this...
Geico covers medical for both driver and passenger. One of the things that I looked into when buying ins was what was going to cover both me and the wife. I found that not all insurance will cover the passenger and like JBA111 said some will not cover the driver either because they assume you have your own health coverage. The other things that will determine your cost will be the amount of coverage you get, your deductable and what options you choose. If you are financed your bank usually wants full coverage. If your paid off then you can pick and choose. Your deductable amount will help. The more you can take the cheaper it is. If you're financed the most you can go is ususally $500.00.

Just to prove "oldfart's" point. I have Foremost with an AARP discount and pay $189. Living in the sticks has some advantages.

I have progressive and the price beat the competition. However, I have not filed a claim, so I don't know how good they are. But, if you have no problems, progressive is great.
