117" hd kit fitment
The new 117 hd kit wont fit a 2013 SE Roadking 110"? Why not?
What are my best options for the same money? |
it 'may' fit fine, but just hasn't been epa rated for anything under the 2014 models.
|
I don't see why not the 117" Bolt on kit won't work on a 2013 CVO King!

I really don't see the difference between any of the touring platforms. They all use the same motors, frame for pre Rushmore models.
There is no difference between a 2013 CVO Road King and a 2009 CVO Road Glide, everything is pretty much the same. Well, Execept mine is truly the FASTEST color (lol) and the most rarest color scheme for my model year. And yes I do have the 117" Pro Race installed. Also as Graham has mentioned, Tman, Fuel Moto, etc all do have a aftermarket 117" kit as well. Another awesome and proven upgrade with excellent results is GMR 113" kit with most getting about 125ish square! Good luck. YB |
Should be able to tell you if it fits or not in the next couple of days as my dealer will be installing the kit on my 2012 CVO as soon as the kit arrives at the dealer in the next day or so.
Was going to have to replace most of the engine anyway due to some sort of failure to the 110 and since I have the ESP was told I could get the 117 kit installed with everything required such as the SE Street Performance Tuner and Dyno time and I would only have to pay the upgrade fee of around $1,400. Fingers crossed. :icon_toast: |
It will fit with engine removal and case boring as is the past. With the 2016 110's the case is now pre bored to accept the kit. HD made it much less expensive to upgrade. No need to remove the engine.
Many owners of the 16 Lowrider S are having it done when they buy the bike. It is around $1,700 plus labor. |

It's a direct plug and play! No case boring required. A very simple Bolt on kit on ANY CVO 110" or "S" 110" motor. There is NO difference between a 2013 CVO Road King motor and my 2009 CVO Road Glide. Except the 2009 CVO models were the last year of the hand builts by a 2-4 man team. YB |
The race kit is for the older bikes.

09 - No it is not. Just give it a go and see what you learn. So you think the wider liner for 117 will slip into a 15 and earlier 110? Not happening partner. The case will require boring. The 2016 caseswere made to accept the 117 upgrade w/o boring.

SE 117 drop on kit
S&S crank S&S 3 stage pump S&S cam plate Ported heads stock valve size comp ratio 10.8 Gmr 600 cam Gmr lifters & p/r's HPI 58 E & 5.3 SE agitator air cleaner Rush Wrath baker DD7 TTS tuner AIM 95 lock up Man I hate to tell you but here's a SE kit that GMR bolted together in a 2009, the spigots on the cylinder sleeves are smaller and will slide in a 110" engine without boring. The sleeves are made with a harder metal so they could do that. |

I guess my 117" Pro Race kit installed in my 2009 CVO Road Glide is not proof enough. YB |

I haven't got my final Dyno since I had to upgrade my Fullsac "B" X-pipe and 2.5"Baffles to "D" X-Pipe and 2.0" Baffles. Using Steve's Genesis 577 cams and cleaned up heads (not a true P/P) Steve feels I should be like 125ish HP 131ish TQ. Looks like June before I can get my final tune due to work. YB |

Its a new world out there. There is no need for boring cases with the Harley 117 kit.
Sporacer, The BIG problem with these Bolt on Kits are SOME (over half from my dealer) jugs are "out of round" from the MoCo. Lucky for me, I bought it up to my dealership before the build. Mine was one of my dealerships first customers install and I took mine to a local guy to correct the jugs. YB |
