Really nice looking setup, did you have to get another outer fairing? How about the Pioneer unit, is it waterproof? I ask these questions because I just may go that route myself but need answers first.

My unit is not water proof, which is the only major issue I have with doing this project. I searched but could not find a marine double din with Nav. We used the original outer fairing, no issues. My last unit was not waterproof and I never had an issue with it. Don't get me wrong, its not perfect but its really close. I have to look really hard to find the imperfections with the fitment. All in all, I'm a happy camper.

 

How has this been four months later? Has there been any issues with rain? Wonder if any one makes a double din cover? There are times when my bike sits in the rain at work.

Is this the setup from Metra? Where did you pick it up at? I have searched everywhere.

 

I just saw this video from Metra on Youtube. Double din inner fairing for 96-13 bikes. Looks nice. I'm not sure if this has been posted on here yet.

 

I've been looking all over the internet, where can I buy one of these inner fairings? Metra shows it on a brochure, but not as a product on their site. Anyone know who distributes for them? I tried Sonic Electronix too, but they don't show it either. Guess I'll have to call them. Anyone know? Thanks!
